Having been involved with the melodramas that StageCenter used to do every summer, I have always loved them and thought it would be the perfect way to end our 50th Anniversary Season- with a bang. This production is my tribute to many people and things. First, to StageCenter, which I love dearly; I do my best to nurture the symbiotic relationship between community and theatre- being created both by and for the community. Second, to Vaudeville, which gave us many classic film comedians such as Buster Keaton, Charlie Chaplin, Marie Dressler, and Bob Hope. Third, to Wanda Daisa, one of the founders of StageCenter. She was one of the most incredible people I've ever known, and she was always responsible for bringing together this three ring circus known as the StageCenter Melodrama. I am dedicating this production to her memory and I hope we will have a show that would do her proud. This is for you, Wanda!
