Marketing & Social Media Intern
SUMMER 2026
10-15 hrs/week
StageCenter is BCS's longest-running community theatre. We do a full season of productions out of our space in Historic Downtown Bryan. Most younger people in this town don't know we exist. Your job is to change that.
We're looking for a student who can help us reach people in the 18–25 range who may have never considered coming to a show. Not through ads or gimmicks, but through content that's honest about what we are and why it's worth their time.
This is an unpaid internship. Students seeking academic credit for this experience are encouraged to speak with their academic advisor. We will gladly provide any documentation required by your institution.

THE WORK
- Develop, write, and plan content aimed at students and young adults in BCS: what platforms, what formats, what cadence in collaboration with the Marketing team
- Produce the content: photos from rehearsals and productions, short video, and copy that sounds organic and drives growth with a younger audience
- Find ways to reach people organically: on-campus channels, student orgs, local partnerships
- Track what lands and what doesn't; report back with real observations, not just numbers
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
- Current Texas A&M or Blinn student in Marketing, Communications, PR, Journalism, Theatre, or related field
- A content creator that can think critically about why content works or doesn't
- Comfortable with ambiguity; this role has a clear goal but no playbook
- Some experience running social for an org, club, or brand is helpful, but not required
WHAT YOU GET
- Ownership of a real audience development effort, not just support tasks
- A portfolio with actual outcomes attached: reach, attendance, growth
- For-credit documentation for Blinn or TAMU internship requirements (if available in your program)
- Access to every production we run this summer
- Direct working relationship with StageCenter's Marketing Chair and board
TO APPLY
Send three things to [email protected]:
- Who you are and why you are interested in this position. A few sentences is fine
- Your resume
- 2-3 pieces of content you have created: a post, a campaign, a deck, a thread…whatever shows how you think. Links to material will be accepted
