Acting is fun! Whether you're an accomplished actor or a beginner, we would love to see you on our stage! Check out our Season page and see if there's a show you'd like to audition for. The audition dates are posted there, and as we get closer to that show the Auditions page will be updated with instructions on how to audition as well as the roles available.
If you want to be involved in a production but the limelight isn't your thing, there are lots of things that go into bringing a show together. There are opportunities for costumes, props, stage managing, running lights or sound, or even assistant directing. If you are interested in any of these positions, come to auditions and let the director know. Typically the assistant director is in place before auditions, so if you would like to do that, feel free to contact the director if you know them, or email us at firstname.lastname@example.org. Audition info can be found on our Auditions page.
Interested in directing a show at StageCenter? Applicants for directing should have theatre production experience, such as directing, assistant directing or stage-managing at our theatre. StageCenter provides the opportunity to any community member interested in obtaining production experience during the current season. If you would like to gain some production experience, please let us know if you would be interested in participating in one of our upcoming shows. At the beginning of each calendar year, we open up submissions to those who want to direct, and set a deadline which usually falls around the end of February or beginning of March. Keep your eyes open here or on our Facebook page for the next season's call for submissions.
